Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) as part of its commitment to fostering development and community engagement, constructed a Marketing Shed for women in Tangkhul Hungdung Khullen Village, Kamjong District, Manipur, under the Operation Sadbhavana project. The inauguration ceremony of the Marketing shed took place on 15 March 2024.
This initiative aims to empower women in the region by providing a dedicated space for marketing their products, fostering economic growth, and enhancing self-reliance. The Women Marketing Shed will also support local artisans and entrepreneurs in showcasing their talents and products, thereby contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of the community.
The Assam Rifles remains dedicated to fostering a sense of inclusivity and promoting sustainable development in the region. The completion of the Women Marketing Shed is a testament to the organization’s commitment to Operation Sadbhavana’s principal goal of building trust and fostering positive relations within the community.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES INTERACTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO AN ORPHANAGE AT VILLAGE BIJANG, CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) recognizing the plight of the populace including children has been organizing relief aid distribution at various locations all over the state while also interacting with the people to build their morale and confidence in the security forces.
In continuation of this noble aim Assam Rifles organised distribution of essential items at the Orphanage located at village Bijang, Churachandpur District on 15 March 2023. Interaction was also carried out with the children and they were motivated to focus on their studies to realize their dreams. Their enthusiastic queries regarding careers in the armed forces were also addressed.
