The young minds when given proper guidance and support can realize their dreams and make their parents and the society proud. With this line of thought and with its credo of ” Friends of North East people”, Assam rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) has been constantly motivating and assisting the youth of Manipur to join the Armed Forces through various entries.
In pursuance of this noble thought a four weeks training capsule was provided at various locations for the aspirants hailing from humble family background, remote villages and youth internally displaced due to the ongoing conflict. The training program included registration of candidates for the Agniveer selection and preparing them for written and physical tests. As a result of these ardous efforts 14 candidates trained for the recruitment exam at Veng got selected during the Agniveer Recruitment Rally- 2023 and will join for the Army training program in last week of April 2024 at various locations across India.
To honour their achievement Assam Rifles organised a felicitation programme on 16 March 2024 at Veng, Churachandpur District, Manipur. Their achievement emphasizes the fact that hard work, determination and working towards the right goals, leads one to individual success in life, contributes towards the betterment of society and the nation building process.
