Vigilant troops of the Assam Rifles, acting on specific intelligence, launched a search operation in general area Wamku village, Chandel District on 15 March 2024. During the meticulous search, an abandoned Yodha vehicle was discovered approximately 100 meters towards Charlong village from Wamku Junction. Upon thoroughly searching the vehicle 2160 bottles of IML Gold Liquor valued at approximately Rs 3,24,000/- were recovered.
The recovered items alongwith the vehicle have been handed over to Tengnoupal Police Station for further investigations.
