Acting on specific intelligence of presence of weapons and ammunition in general area Trao Lamkhai, in Tengnoupal District in Manipur, Assam Rifles along with Manipur Police launched a joint search operation on 15 March 2024 and recovered one .303 rifle, two improvised mortars, four IEDs, fifteen grenades and ammunition. The recovered items have been handed over to the Police.
