The finals of the ‘Fusion of the Bands’ a prestigious Hindi music ‘Talent Hunt’ captivated the vibrant music scene providing a platform for artists from 16 districts to showcase their exceptional talent. The bands rendered heart touching and soul stirring performances in the event organized by Spear Corps of the Indian Army, under Operation Sadbhavna on 28 March 24 at Dimapur.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Honourable Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan as the Chief Guest. Presence of renowned guest artistes like Imna Yaden, Eva Rongmei, NK Naga, Akumsen Lemtur, Aloboli Kinimi, and the illustrious Prashant Tamang, Winner of Indian Idol Season 3, provided a musical spectacle of unparalleled grandeur.

The projects are selected after taking local aspirations into consideration, in conjunction with civil administration and it is ensured that there is no duplicity in the projects being shortlisted. Projects like National Integration Tours (NIT), women empowerment, employment generation, education, opportunities to youth for showcasing talent and development activities towards nation building are planned and executed under Operation Sadbhavna.
The talent hunt ‘Fusion of the Bands’ brought together a diverse array of musical talent, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Nagaland. The journey to finale of the talent hunt comprised of a three-stage process which brought together musicians from all genres to compete in the universal language of music. The talent hunt kicked off with an exciting online audition phase, where 29 bands from the 16 districts of Nagaland showcased their musical prowess. After a rigorous selection process, 12 talented bands were shortlisted to compete in the semi-finals. After a thorough evaluation of performances in the semi-finals held on 26 March 24 in Dimapur, six exceptional bands emerged as the finalists, earning the coveted opportunity to showcase their musical prowess on a prestigious platform.
The journey to the finals of Fusion of the Bands although rigorous, was a rewarding experience for the participants. Underscoring the significance of recognizing and rewarding exceptional musical prowess, the winners of the talent hunt competition Noisy Neighbours were awarded ₹3 lakhs, while the first runner-up Kuneang Wanghum were awarded ₹2 lakhs and second runner-up Lies and Lullabies received ₹1 lakh, respectively. Acknowledging the remarkable musical abilities of the finalists, each of the band was awarded ₹25,000.
