In a bid to inspire and guide young students toward a career in the Indian Army, the Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifle (South) organized a comprehensive lecture at Paradise English School on 31 March 2024. The informative session, aimed at fostering a sense of patriotism and encouraging the youth to serve the nation.
During the lecture the speaker briefed the students about different types of entries for commissioning as an officer through National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), and Technical Entry Scheme (TES). Emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, physical fitness, and leadership skills, the students were motivated to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives. The lecture also highlighted the unparalleled training facilities at these prestigious institutions which cater for all round growth of the individuals. Further, the lecture stressed upon the significance of discipline, camaraderie, and dedication as essential attributes in life not only for joining the forces but also to be successful in any sphere of life. Further, during the interactive session all queries of the students related to various aspects starting from preparation for an armed forces career to life in the armed forces were answered.
Through this initiative, Assam Rifles continues to promote national integration and motivate the youth to take an active role in shaping the country’s future. The lecture proved to be a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds at Paradise English School and inspiring them to explore a career in the armed forces.
