Assam Rifles on 6th April 2024 at around 1930 hours responded to an emergency call for help from the villagers of Yangoubung village, Chandel District about a forest fire which was moving towards the village.
The Assam Rifles promptly mobilized their troops and resources to combat the raging forest fire threatening the community thereby preventing the flames from spreading further into the village and surroundings.
