Acting on specific intelligence of presence of a person with arms in Ukhrul town, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint search operation on the intervening night of 09 – 10 April 2024 and apprehended an individual who was in possession of Rs 13,11,130/- in cash, one Carbine Machine Gun, one pistol, one Grenade, one Shot gun and ammunition.
The apprehended individual alongwith the recoveries has been handed over to the Ukhrul Police Station for further investigation.
