The Assam Rifles, known as the “Sentinels of the North East,” continued their humanitarian efforts by organizing a relief distribution event at the Oinam relief camp on 12 April 2024 in Bishnupur district of Manipur. The initiative aimed to provide essential items and support to internally displaced people (IDPs) affected by the ongoing internal security situation in the region.
The event witnessed the distribution of sweets and stationary items among the displaced individuals, many of whom are children and youth. Approximately 120 people benefited from this relief effort
The Assam Rifles has been actively engaged in providing aid and assistance to the affected communities in Manipur. These efforts are a testament to their commitment to the well-being of the region’s people, particularly during times of crisis.
