Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in the fringe areas of Imphal West and Kangpokpi district of Manipur, a joint team of Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation on 13 April 2024 and recovered one 9mm Carbine, one 9 mm Pistol, one 70 mm Heavy Caliber Launcher, four IEDs, two Grenades, ammunition and war like stores.
