Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General of Eastern Command Kolkata accompanied by Ayush Mani Tiwari (IPS), IG BSF South Bengal FTR and A K Arya, PRO, South Bengal undertook a visit to various Border Outposts (BOPs) on 20 April 2024.
During the course of the visit, Ravi Gandhi, ADG BSF (East Command) Kolkata visited several key border locations including BOP Tentulberia, BOP Angrail, BOP Kalyani, and BOP Haridaspur of 05 Battalion, BSF. The visit involved detailed discussions with focus on operational readiness and security measures.
A pivotal aspect of the inspection was the visit to BOP Ghojadanga, where Ravi Gandhi, ADG received an operational briefing from the Commandant 102 Battalion, BSF. The visit extended to the Integrated Check Post (ICP) Ghojadanga and overseeing the security measures at the ICP.
Further, the ADG visited IOP Panitar and BOP Kaijuri of 112 Battalion, BSF where he deliberated with the Company Commanders and emphasized the importance of vigilance against smuggling and trans-border crimes. Detailed briefings were presented regarding the respective areas of responsibility ensuring a comprehensive understanding of security challenges and strategies to address them effectively.
ADG, Eastern Command visited BOP Tarali of the 112 Battalion, BSF where he oversee domination along the Sonai River. Fruit baskets and sweets were exchanged with Border Guard Bangladesh officials fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.

He commended the dedication and professionalism of BSF personnel and reiterated the importance of continuous vigilance and coordination with International counterparts to maintain security and integrity along the border.
