A yellow alert could not deter the cricket loving fans from filling up the iconic Eden Gardens to the brim in the afternoon game between KKR and RCB on Sunday.
The temperature touched around 41 degrees Celsius during the start of the game.
Despite the heatwaves flowing, fans turned up in huge numbers to cheer for their favorite cricketers.
At 4:30 p.m., the turnout at the iconic venue touched a staggering 54,365, which also could go up as the game progresses.
Each and every corner of the stadium was filled with fans who displayed and waved the KKR and RCB colours and cheered for their favorite team.
Tipped as one of the marquee matches at the Eden Gardens this IPL season, fans didn’t want to miss a chance to get a glimpse of their cricketing gods.
