Assam Rifles, on 04 May 2024 organised A Day with Company Commander for the students from schools in Mapum village of Ukhrul district in Manipur. It was a jubilant affair, tailor-made programme for spreading joy and happiness among the students of nearby schools.
With smiles lighting up faces, 78 eager students, accompanied by their three teachers and 11 supportive parents, eagerly joined the events. The day unfolded featuring a plethora of activities designed to keep the kids engaged and joyous. Curated events like Thor’s mighty Hammer, musical Chair the Tug of war were conducted, where the participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Every moment was brimming with infectious happiness while underscoring the significance of teamwork and camaraderie among the children.
As the day drew to a close, winners were crowned amidst cheers with the Company Commander himself joining in the happiness, sharing anecdotes and spreading cheer. The event culminated in a hearty feast, where the bonds of friendship grew stronger over shared meals and laughter.
Through “A Day with Company Commander,” Assam Rifles demonstrated their unwavering commitment to spreading happiness and fostering connections within the community. The students, teachers and parents expressed their appreciation towards Assam Rifles for orgainsing such a meaningful, informative and recreational activity for them.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED FRIENDLY VOLLEYBALL MATCH AT S KHOLEN VILLAGE
Assam Rifles, with the endeavor to ensure cordial relationship with the local populace and also to instill the importance of sports in youth, organised a Friendly Volleyball Match at S Kholen village, Churachandpur District at Assam Rifles Camp 03 May 2024.
The Friendly Match was organised between a team of Assam Rifles and youth of S Kholen village, Churachandpur District. The match was organised with the aim to motivate local youth to refrain from the use of drugs and to hone their skill at the sports arena.
A total of ten local youth participated in the match.
