ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS A DAY WITH COMPANY COMMANDER AND ORGANISED LECTURES AT PHAIKOH VILLAGE, KAMJONG DISTRICT, UKHRUL

Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) conducted ‘A Day with Company Commander and organised Lectures’ at Phaikoh vill, Kamjong district. A total of 50 students from Phaikoh and Humine Thana village participated in the event enthusiastically.

During the event organised, children participated in the Badminton and volleyball matches. These activities underscored the significance of teamwork and camaraderie among the children. As part of this program children also visited the Sarv Dharm Sthal and were aligned with the concept of unity of religions and praying under one roof.

On the sidelines of the event, lectures were also conducted for the children on “Substance abuse awareness” & “How to join Armed Forces”. The conduct of these lectures broadened the horizon of the children and enlightened them about the various career opportunities available.

Village authorities applauded the efforts of the Assam Rifles for under taking such initiative for the betterment of the youth of the area. Assam Rifles has always been at the forefront of connecting with the locals and children through such activities, in order to help them sculpt their bright future.

ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES SECURITY MEETING FOSTERING PEACE AND TRANQUILITY

Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) organised a security meeting with village headmen and authorities from villages around Tusom, Ukhrul district on 15 May 2024.

The meet witnessed the participation of five villages viz Tusom CV, Tusom Khullen, New Tusom, Wahong amd Kongai. The meeting provided an active forum to all the concerned to put forth their grievances and issues faced by them. The importance of involving youth in sports, education, and other constructive initiatives was thoroughly deliberated and positively received by those present. The members were also briefed on the current security landscape in the area and were encouraged to work towards fostering peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

This interaction deepened the connection between the local community and the Assam Rifles, nurturing cooperation towards social advancement, peace, and community prosperity, ultimately contributing to the maintenance of tranquility and harmony in the region.

*ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR HIV POSITIVE WOMEN FROM DORCAS COMPASSION HOME AT PALLEL ON 14 MAY 2024 & ORGANISED LECTURE ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AT VILLAGE S KHOLEN, CHURACHANDPUR

Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) organised a heartwarming and engaging program for the HIV positive women and of Dorcas Compassion Home, an initiative run by the Manipur Baptist Convention Women Department at Pallel.

The event featured a vibrant Jazz band display, a variety of group games, and dance performances, culminating in a Felicitation ceremony. The women and children actively participated in the activities, creating a joyful and memorable experience for all involved.

A total of 16 women and 10 children attended the program. The women expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organising such a meaningful and memorable day.

At S Kholen village, Churachandpur, this Security Force organised a lecture on ‘Women Empowerment’ (Manipur) on 15 May 2024. The lecture explained various policies undertaken by the government of India in various fields for women empowerment. During the motivational lecture various examples of eminent women from various background who have played crucial roles in society towards the progress of nation were brought out.

The Assam Rifles remains committed to supporting and uplifting the community through initiatives like these and foster a sense of unity and care.

ASSAM RIFLES EXTENDS SUPPORT TO INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLE IN MANIPUR

Assam Rifles organized a relief distribution event at the Utlou relief camp under Nambol PS, Bishnupur District of Manipur on 14 May 2024. The initiative aimed to provide essential aid and assistance to internally displaced people (IDPs) impacted by the ongoing internal security issues in the region.

During the event, stationary items, ration and other essentials were distributed to displaced individuals, including numerous children and women. A healthy gathering of 460 people received assistance through this relief endeavour.

The Assam Rifles has been actively engaged in providing aid and assistance to the affected communities in Manipur. These efforts are a testament to their commitment to the well-being of the region’s people, particularly during times of crisis.

The Assam Rifles, known as the “Sentinels of the North East,” remains dedicated to serving and protecting the residents of Manipur and the Northeast, ensuring their safety and security in the face of adversity.
