Under ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’, Assam Rifles carried out Swachhta abhiyan in Moreh aimed at fostering awareness among troops and civilians in Moreh Town. Additionally, Swachhta Drives were conducted by troops along with villagers of surrounding villages to educate them about hygiene and sanitation, fostering a healthier environment. These activities not only promote community well-being but also strengthen the bond between security forces and the people they serve.
Over 350 troops and 170 civilians actively participated in the campaign, committed until 05 June 2024. Their collective efforts aim to promote further programmes on donation drive, healthy lifestyle adoption, awareness about sustainable use of resources, disposal of e-waste, competition and mass tree plantation drive in the upcoming weeks with an aim to strengthen bond between people and security forces. Village elders appreciated Assam Rifles efforts to organise awareness programmes on such challenging times of internal security.
