ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS “FOSTERING BONDS & HARMONY WITH BORDER VILLAGE FAMILIES” THROUGH MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE AT KAMJONG
Assam Rifles conducted “Fostering Bonds and Harmony with Border Village Families” through meaningful dialogues at Chassad, Kamjong in Manipur on 19 May 2024
In a significant community outreach initiative, the Assam Rifles organized a community meal for the families and children of Khoikoi village in Kamjong District, Manipur. This event aimed to foster unity and address the concerns of local villagers amid ongoing security challenges along the Indo-Myanmar border.
Total of 15 Villagers from Khoikoi village participated in the event. The event provided a platform for the troops and villagers to interact, facilitating open dialogue and strengthening relations.
Games were also org as a part of the prog and the families along with children actively participated in the same. An interactive session was followed by games where villagers shared their needs, grievances, and other concerns.
The event culminated in a joint lunch where all the ranks of the Company dined together with the local villagers. This communal meal served as a platform for building camaraderie and mutual understanding.
The Assam Rifles remains committed to the welfare of locals and continues to work towards ensuring peace and security in the region. This initiative underscores the importance of community engagement and the role of the armed forces in fostering positive relations with local populations.
ASSAM RIFLES FELICITATES MERITORIOUS STUDENTS IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles organised a felicitation ceremony for nine students who cleared their entrance examination of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Oinam, Bishnupur district of Manipur on 20 May 24. The program was conducted in coordination with Senkon Navodaya Coaching Centre, Oinam.
Following rigorous preparation and dedication, nine students excelled in the highly competitive entrance examination. These students have exhibited exemplary commitment, intellect, and resilience in their pursuit of academic excellence.
The felicitation ceremony served as a platform to recognize and applaud the remarkable accomplishments of these bright young minds and symbolized the unwavering support and encouragement extended by the Assam Rifles to nurture talent and inspire excellence in all spheres of life.
Through various initiatives, including community engagement and youth empowerment programs, the Assam Rifles strive to inspire and support the next generation of leaders.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED SCREENING TEST FOR LOCAL YOUTH IN PRE RECRUITMENT TRAINING
As part of the continuous efforts by Assam Rifles to uplift the local community, a three days screening test was organized for the local youth of Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts from 18 May to 20 May 2024, to select suitable individuals for Pre Recruitment Training at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district of Manipur.
A healthy number of 60 aspirants from Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts of Manipur attended the screening test for Pre Recruitment Training. The screening session included various events aimed at evaluating and motivating the attendees. The events comprised of a phased medical screening to identify any health issues, a written examination to assess the knowledge level of the attendees and plan their coaching classes accordingly, and recreational activities such as games and movie screenings to entertain and inspire the local youth.
The screening session for Pre Recruitment Training concluded on 20 May 2024, with 15 individuals selected out of the 60 who reported for the test.
The local populace, especially the youth, expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for organizing such relevant and meaningful activities for their welfare and pledged their wholehearted cooperation and support to the Security Forces.
ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTED SPORTS ITEMS TO INTERNALLY DISPLACED KIDS IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles distributed Sports Items to Internally Displaced people at KSO Community School, Sangaikot, Churachandpur District on 20 May 2024.
Assam Rifles Camp at Sangaikot Village with its continuous effort of adhering strong to its credo of ‘Friends of the North East’ organised a motivational cum interaction programme and distributed Sports items with an aim to motivate Kids of Internally Displaced People and to provide in terms of Sports items also to bring some comfort and hope to their challenging situation. A total of two hundred and thirty kids were benefited from the same.
ASSAM RIFLES PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO ARESM OFFICE IN UKHRUL
Assam Rifles provided IT peripherals to Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen (ARESM) Association office, Ukhrul on 21 May 2024.
Based on the request of ARESM office authorities, IT Peripherals incl Printers and stationery were handed over to the office bearers. The assistance will aid the ESM organisation in their daily affairs and also in conduct of meetings in the office.
The Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen Association office authorities have appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles and have invited more such initiatives in Ukhrul District benefiting the community at large.
