BSF ORGANIZES CIVIC ACTION PROGRAM, DISTRIBUTES SOLAR LIGHTS & SOLAR BATTERIES FOR THE LOCAL BORDER COMMUNITY

 Troops of Border outposts Rangiapota and Mahakhola, 82 Battalion, BSF under the South Bengal Frontier organized a remarkable Civic Action Programme on May 22, 2024, at bordering villages of Dist Nadia Rangiapota and Hathkhola of West Bengal, showcasing a commitment to community development and welfare. The event witnessed the active participation of esteemed civil dignitaries, including the Gram Pradhan of Vill Rangiapota, and nearby villagers.

The program exemplified the BSF’s dedication to empowering local communities. A total of 43 civil dignitaries graced the occasion, reflecting a collective endeavor towards progress and solidarity, and praised the efforts of BSF in the development of border villages.

As a testament to its ongoing support, the BSF distributed essential resources to enhance the quality of life in the villages. Notably, 10 Solar Lights and 16 Solar Batteries were disbursed, providing sustainable energy solutions. These items are valued at a total of Rs 2,88,000. These Solar batteries for the solar light were given by BSF’s previous Civic Action Program in the region last year, further cementing its role as a catalyst for positive change.

A.K Arya, DIG, Public Relations Officer of South Bengal Frontier said that through initiatives like these, the BSF reaffirms its role as not only guardians of the border but also as pillars of community development and welfare. By fostering collaboration and empowerment, the BSF continues to illuminate the path towards a brighter and more prosperous future for the border community.
