NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MOUNTAINEERING AND ADVENTURE SPORTS CELEBRATES WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

As the world commemorates World Environment Day on June 5th, the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) proudly reaffirms its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.

In the face of growing environmental challenges, NIMAS recognizes the pivotal role of adventure sports enthusiasts and mountaineers in advocating for the preservation of our planet. With a deep-rooted passion for nature and adventure, our institute stands at the forefront of promoting eco-consciousness. This World Environment Day, NIMAS urges individuals and organizations and planted more than 500 saplings in Jyotinagar to NIMAS road and also within the premises.

Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal, Director NIMAS, remarked, “As guardians of the wilderness, it is our duty to safeguard the environments in which we explore and thrive. By fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, we can ensure that future generations inherit a planet rich in natural beauty and biodiversity”.
