Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on Career Opportunities in Indian Armed Forces & Central Armed Police Forces at Hope Hall Academy to spread awareness and ensure a bright future for students of Hope Hall Academy of Churachandpur district on 08 June 2024.
The event witnessed a healthy participation by the students of the academy where they got guidance about various entries into the Indian Armed Forces, Assam Rifles, Central Armed Police Forces and other Government and Semi Government sectors during the event.
Total of 30 students attended the said lecture with enthusiasm and eagerness for joining the Indian Army Forces, Assam Rifles and various Government Sectors.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS MEDICAL CAMP IN MANIPUR AND PROVIDES WATER SUPPLY
In line with its commitment to serve the local populace during difficult times, Assam Rifles organized a comprehensive medical camp and distributed essential items to the residents of Salanthong, Imphal East district, on 08 June 2024. The medical camp saw enthusiastic participation from residents, who received health check-ups, consultations, and medical advice from experienced professionals. Essential medicines were also provided to improve the health of the community.
Recognizing the importance of access to basic necessities, Assam Rifles distributed vital supplies such as food staples, hygiene kits, and other essential commodities to the residents of Salanthong, ensuring their basic needs were met during these challenging times.
In addition, Assam Rifles provided essential water supply to Anal Khunau Village, Chandel District. The aftermath of Cyclone Remal had disrupted the water supply in the village, prompting Assam Rifles to extend assistance to address the water shortage.
This initiative was warmly received by the villagers and local authorities, who expressed their support to the Security Force. These efforts exemplifies Assam Rifles’ dedication to fostering positive changes, enhance the overall health and contributing to the well-being of communities thereby strengthening the relationship between security forces and the local populace.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS YOGA TRAINING AND AWARENESS EVENTS IN PREPARATION FOR INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
In the run-up to the 15th International Yoga Day, Assam Rifles conducted a two-week training capsule for training of soldiers at Modi, Chandel District. This initiative, aimed at promoting the benefits of yoga, saw participation from over 50 personnel. The training encompassed lectures on the benefits of yoga, an introduction to basic asanas, and guidance on incorporating yogic practices into daily routines to enhance training acumen. The event culminated in a mass yoga demonstration, which inspired and motivated the troops to adopt yoga for a healthier lifestyle.
In conjunction with this training, Assam Rifles also conducted a lecture on the importance of yoga in Tusom CV village, Ukhrul District, Manipur, on June 9, 2024. This lecture highlighted the historical and spiritual significance of yoga as an Indian practice that dates back to prehistoric times. Emphasizing that yoga is more than just physical exercise, the lecture explored its role in self-realization and the mind-body connection. The villagers learned how incorporating yoga into daily life can bring greater harmony, reduce agitation, and foster a calm, meaningful, and focused way of living.
The event in Tusom CV village aimed to enlighten the community about the known and hidden benefits of yoga for the body, mind, and spirit. The villagers expressed their gratitude and requested further lectures on similar life-enhancing subjects. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the villagers and light refreshments.
