Assam Rifles and Medhavi Skills University sign MoU to Empower Families of personnel with Skill-Based educational opportunities

Assam Rifles, India’s oldest paramilitary force, is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medhavi Skills University (MSU) to provide skill-based degree and diploma programs for the wards and spouses of its serving, retired and battle casualty and physical casualty and retired AR personnel. This landmark agreement aims to honors and support the families of those who have dedicated their lives to the nation.


The MoU was signed by Major General Jai Singh Bainsla, SM, Additional Director General of Assam Rifles and Mr Kuldip Sarma Co-founder & Pro-Chancellor, Medhavi Skills University, in a formal ceremony held at the Assam Rifles Headquarters in Shillong.

Key Highlights of the MoU:
Educational Opportunities :

Priority admission for wards and spouses of serving, retired and deceased Assam Rifles personnel and also retired AR personnel in MSU’s skill based programs.

Concessions:

Earmarking of min 150 seats in Undergraduate Programmes offered by MSU for wards, spouses of personnel of the AR that are serving/ retired/ died in harness and retired AR personnel.

Earmarking of min 50 seats in Postgraduate Programmes offered by MSU for wards, spouses of personnel of the AR that are serving/ retired/ died in harness Battle Casualty & Physical Casualty and retired AR personnel.

50% concession in tuition fees for wards, spouses of personnel of the AR that are serving/ retired/ died in harness and retired AR personnel.

10% concession in hostel accommodation fees for wards, spouses of personnel of the AR that are serving/ retired/ died in harness and retired AR personnel.

100% concession in tuition fees for Veer Naris and wards of Battle Casualties.
80% concession in tuition fees for wards & spouses of gallantry award winners and retired AR personnel in receipt of gallantry award medals, and also Battle Casualty.

50% concession to wards and spouses with special abilities after assessing suitability for the relevant course.

Industry-Acadamia Partnership:

Collaboration on curriculum development, internships and placement to bridge the gap between education & employment.

The primary objective of this collaboration is to facilitate access to quality education and skill development. Under this agreement, eligible candidates will have the opportunity to enroll in various skill-based degree and diploma programs offered by Medhavi Skills University. These programs are designed to equip students with industry – relevant skills and knowledge, enhancing their employability and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to society.
