ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION IN CHANDEL AND KAMJONG DISTRICTS

The Assam Rifles actively participates in social events in collaboration with locals in the region to maintain good relationships between locals and Security Forces. The Force conducted a community event in New Samtal village to observe World Father’s Day. The event aimed to recognise and celebrate the vital role of fathers within the community.

The highlight of the event was a compelling lecture delivered by Assam Rifles exploring the significance of fatherhood, focusing on the unique challenges faced by fathers today and the impact of their dedication on family life. The event attended by 53 villagers aimed to celebrate Father’s day and to provide a platform for sharing experiences and insights on their dedication and sacrifice. In addition to the lecture, attendees enjoyed refreshments organised by the Assam Rifles further fostering hospitality and community spirit.

At K Somrei, Assam Rifles organised Father’s Day celebration in collaboration with women society at K Somrei Baptist church in Kamjong district. During the program the church members appreciated the selfless sacrifices and the devotion of the fathers in the right grooming and overall well-being of the children.

The celebration was attended by 170 persons including men, women and children. The community members also appreciated Assam Rifles for rendering vital support to the people during the time of Manipur crisis.

Assam Rifles, through such events, grabbed the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with community members. This event served as a platform for sharing experiences, fostering community spirit and camaraderie.

ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTED ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO KIDS IN INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONNEL CAMP IN MANIPUR

Assam Rifles extended support to kids in IDP camp in Dampi Village, Churachandpur District, Manipur, on 15 June 2024.

The event aimed to support the continued education of 42 displaced kids by providing them with essential stationery and sports items. This initiative aligns with Assam Rifles’ commitment of helping the future generation who are affected due to the ongoing turmoil to overcome the challenges of conflict and pursue their dreams to some extent.

This initiative brought comfort and hope to the young recipients, encouraging them to continue their studies despite the challenging circumstances. Assam Rifles remains dedicated to supporting the well-being and development of the displaced children in Manipur.

ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS YOGA SESSION IN MANIPUR

Assam Rifles in continuation with its commitment to promote healthy life style and mental wellness conducted a Yoga session at Jamkholun Memorial Academy in Sajik Tampak, Manipur.

Various events were conducted including lectures on importance of yoga, practical demonstration of various asanas and interaction with children. Around 50 children and teachers actively participated in the event.

Assam Rifles remains committed in fostering positive changes and contributing to the well-being of the communities in the area of responsibility.

ASSAM RIFLES PROVIDED EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO SNAKE BITE VICTIM IN CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT

Assam Rifles provided emergency medical aid to a Mr. Lalneithang, 60 year old from village Tuilaphai, Hengkot, Churachandpur District on 15 June 2024.

The individual was referred from District Hospital Churachandpur to Unit Hospital of Assam Rifles with a complaint of snake bite from a suspected poisonous bamboo viper bite while working at farm land in Tuilaphai village.

On arrival at Unit hospital, the patient was evaluated, additional tests confirmed poisonous effect of the snake bite, and timely life saving medical assistance by the medical team was provided by administering an anti-snake venom vaild (ASV). All necessary procedures and medications were administered to the individual.

The case was discussed with District Hospital authorities and the patient was transferred to District Hospital Churachandpur by ambulance for admission and further management.
