Seema Praharis of Mizoram & Cachar Frontier BSF observed the 10th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2024 with great enthusiasm with theme ‘Yoga for Self and Society’.

The Yoga programmes were organized in all the Field Formations including Sectors, Battalions and Border Out Posts located in far flung areas of Mizoram, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland and Frontier HQ Mizoram & Cachar Silchar Campus also.

During the programme organized at BSF Frontier HQ Campus Silchar, trained Yoga instructors of BSF from Patanjali Yog Peeth conducted the Yoga Session for Seema Praharis from 0700 to 0800 hrs. The Yoga session included practicing Yogic Asanas, Pranayama and brief demonstration of their Yogic skills. The Yoga Session was attended by all available BSF Officers and ranks.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Akhileshwar Singh, Inspector General, Mizoram & Cachar Frontier BSF exhorted regarding the benefits of Yoga for holistic health of every Seema Praharis.

Further, he stressed the practice of Yoga will certainly help us in overcoming the mental stress in facing and exposed to multifarious challenges during performance of duties in remote/isolated border areas under tiring and inhospitable conditions.

Every year, BSF observes the International Yoga Day with zeal and enthusiasm upto farthest reach to the border and practice of Yoga is being carried out throughout the year as a part of its routine physical training also.
