ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY WITH CAPFs AT MOREH
On International Yoga Day, the KLP ground at Moreh Assam Rifles Garrison was abuzz with enthusiasm as troops from Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), and Rapid Action Force (RAF) came together for celebrating International Day of Yoga. At Integrated Check Post, Moreh and at multiple Company Operating Bases of Assam Rifles yoga sessions witnessed over 620 combined troops from CAPF participating in Moreh.
The event highlighted the discipline and unity within the forces as they performed various asanas in synchronized movements. The troops, with closed eyes, united in silence, experiencing tranquility amidst their duties.
Collective observance of Yoga Day was aimed to foster well-being and harmony among individuals. The celebration concluded with a meditation session followed by refreshments, underscoring the power of unity and camaraderie among the forces.
Concurrently, This initiative highlights the cooperative spirit and bonds forged between Assam Rifles, BSF, RAF, and CAPF, promoting a sense of mutual respect and shared commitment to wellness within the security forces. It is a testament to the transformative power of collective activities, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, unity can prevail and deliver a message that progress is possible only through unity and co-operation.
ASSAM RIFLES REPAIRS WATER CANAL TO AID VILLAGERS IN IRRIGATING PADDY FIELDS IN MANIPUR
A canal near Janglenphai village, crucial for irrigating fields in Kangmong and Janglenphai, was damaged by a flash flood from the Remal cyclone. This caused significant difficulties for farmers in both villages trying to harvest their paddy fields. Village authorities and the local MLA sought assistance from Assam Rifles to repair the canal.
Assam Rifles Using JCBs, sandbags, and local resources carried out extensive repairs on 20 June 2024 and restored the water flow to the affected fields. The repair efforts included clearing bushes and strategically placing sandbags to maintain the water level.
This initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ commitment to enhancing the standard of living and ensuring public safety. The timely completion of the project minimized inconvenience to farmers, aiding them in their seasonal cultivation efforts.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED A FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AT VILLAGE BEHENG, CHURACHANDPUR
Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a Football Tournament at village Beheng, district Churachandpur from 18 June to 20 Jun 2024 with an aim to connect with the youth of the area and promote sports culture in border villages. Total 18 teams of boys & girls participated and 21 matches were played.
Boys’ final match was played between VPBC-A Beheng vs VPBC-B Beheng wherein VPBC-B won the tournament and Girls final match was played between Evergreen Beheng vs Everlow Beheng on 20 June 2024. Hang Muan Lal of Tonjang village was declared as Player of the Tournament. The event led to the promotion of sports culture in border villages and created the positive image of Assam Rifles being instrumental in transforming activities.

Assam Rifles organised pre medical screening of seven written exam qualified candidates (Agniveer Scheme) for upcoming physical & medical tests, at Sendra Village, Bishnupur District (Manipur)
Assam Rifles have been a forerunner in providing assistance to the zealous young aspirants from the nascent stage of preparation for the written exam to the selection process for the Agniveer Scheme entry with an aim to guide and uplift the youth of Bishnupur District. This interaction included pre- medical screening for the seven candidates who have already cleared written exam for the upcoming Agniveer Recruitment Rally.
