Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Maojang village, in Tengnoupal district, Manipur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a cordon and search operation on 24 June 24 and recovered one AK- 47 Rifle, four shot guns, one Sig Sauer Pistol, three improvised Explosive Devices (IED), ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
JOINT OPERATION RESULTS IN HUGE RECOVERY OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION IN MANIPUR
Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Keinou, in Bishnupur district of Manipur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation on 26 June 24. Extensive search was carried out at houses, fish farms & paddy fields. Which resulted in recovery of one Carbine Machine Gun, one 9 mm pistol, nine grenades, ammunition and war like stores.
The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
