Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in the area between Singtam and Toupokpi in Chandel District, Manipur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation 27 June 2024 and recovered one Improvised Mortar (Pompi), two Grenades, ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
