Indian Army has launched a flood rescue and relief operation in Tinsukia district of Assam

Amidst the severe rise in water levels caused by continuous heavy rainfall in the Tinsukia district of Assam, Indian Army has launched a flood rescue and relief operation aimed to provide crucial assistance to the villagers severely impacted by the rising water levels in the affected areas.

So far, Indian Army has successfully rescued more than 50 people including old aged people, ladies and children from flood affected areas of Bor Fakial village, Margherita, in district Tinsukia. Despite inclement weather and the hours of darkness, the troops have remained committed to the relief efforts.

Indian Army is also providing emergency supplies, medicines and other essentials, to people taking refuge in temporary camps and shelters.
