ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTES WATER BOTTLES TO RELIEF CAMPS AND CONDUCTS SECURITY MEETING IN MANIPUR

Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) distributed 1500 water bottles to the locals of Bashikhong and Kiyamgai relief camps in Manipur on 05 July 24. These camps and residential areas, severely affected by recent heavy rains, faced an urgent need for clean drinking water amid challenging circumstances.

Recognizing the critical requirement for safe drinking water in preventing waterborne diseases, Assam Rifles promptly mobilized resources to procure and distribute 1500 water bottles to the affected residents, ensuring that the relief camps received essential support during this challenging time.

The initiative underscores Assam Rifles’ commitment to assisting communities in times of need and reflects their dedication to promoting public health and welfare. Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its mission to serve and support communities across the region, particularly during times of crisis.

Additionally, Assam Rifles conducted a security coordination meet cum interaction program at Komlakhong village, Imphal West District, on 06 July 2024. The event brought together village authorities and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) from remote villages in the Assam Rifles’ area of responsibility.

The initiative focused on addressing security challenges, strengthening cooperation between locals and security forces, and appreciating public support in maintaining peace and stability. The program also educated participants on monsoon precautions, encouraged youth to pursue education and sports, and promoted societal development. The villagers wholeheartedly pledged to maintain peace in the area in cooperation with security forces.

ASSAM RIFLES PROVIDED EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT, MANIPUR

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) provided emergency medical assistance by donating two units of rare AB Negative blood to a critically ill patient at District Hospital Churachandpur on 05 July 2024.

52 years old Mr Chinhang, resident of Dongjang village, Churachandpur district presently admitted in Medical ICU was diagnosed with Upper Gastrointestinal bleeding with Severe Anaemia and was in critical need of rare AB Negative blood for life saving transfusion. As per the request from Blood bank of District hospital Churachandpur, timely assistance was provided to the patient by providing two units of blood at District Hospital, Churachandpur district.
