Maninder P.S. Pawar, IPS, IG BSF South Bengal Frontier Reviews Operational Preparedness IN Sundarbanns region at the India-Bangladesh Border

Maninder P.S. Pawar, IPS, Inspector General of the South Bengal Frontier of the Border Security Force (BSF), conducted an extensive review of the operational readiness at the most challenging and high-risk Sundarbans Region area along the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal. Accompanied by the DIG of the Sector Headquaters Kolkata Shri Pawar, IPS, IG visited the ground and floating border posts of the 118 Battalion.

During his visit,  Pawar IPS, IG, along with the battalion commander and water wing officers, inspected the water boundary in a speedboat, starting from Dhamakhali and proceeding beyond the T Junction to the land boundary terminus. This thorough Visit aimed to evaluate the security measures and preparedness of the battalion deployed in this critical sector.

Following the security reviews, IG Pawar addressed the troops and officers stationed at the Border outpost Shamshernagar, Bankra and Hingleganj border post. He expressed his appreciation for their dedication and diligence in safeguarding the nation’s borders. The briefing included a detailed overview of the security policies implemented in the region, ensuring that all personnel were well-informed and equipped to handle any potential threats.
