India have won three bronze – all coming from shooting.
After Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh to Swapnil Kusale complete a hat-trick of medals for India in Paris Olympics 2024.
Growing up in Kambalwadi village, he learned the values of patience and perseverance from farming, which are essential in shooting.
His family’s support, particularly his father’s decision to enroll him in the Krida Prabhodini sports program, further facilitated his transition into competitive shooting. This foundation helped him develop the mental focus required for success in high-pressure environments, such as the Olympics
PM Narendra Modi congratulates Swapnil Kusale for won Bronze Medal for India. In a post in X PM Modi wrote, “exceptional performance by Swapnil Kusale! Congrats to him for winning the Bronze medal in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions at the Paris Olympics 2024.His performance is special because he’s shown great resilience and skills.
