Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Mongjam of Heingang Hill range, Imphal East District of Manipur, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation on and on 10 Aug 24 and recovered one Pistol, one Single barrel gun (country made), eight grenades ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police.
