The South Indian film has made a significant mark with major wins the 70th National Film Awards. Kantara Bags Best Entertaining Film at 70th National Film Awards.
At the 70th National Film Awards, Kannada actor Rishab Shetty was honored with the Best Actor award for his performance in the blockbuster film Kantara.
Kantara was also declared the Best Feature Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh shared the Best Actress award.
Best feature film award has been given to Aattam (The Play) directed by Anand Ekarshi and the award for Best Non-Feature Film has been bagged by Ayena (Mirror) directed by Siddhant Sarin.
Award for Best Book on Cinema has been given to Kishore Kumar: The Ultimate Biography authored by Anirudha Bhattacharjee & Parthiv Dhar.
Pavan Raj Malhotra won the award for Best Supporting Actor while Neena Gupta won the Best Supporting Actress Award in the Feature Films category.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji with its VFX Supervisors Jaykar Arudra, Viral Thakkar, and Neelesh Gore, BRAHMASTRA-PART 1: SHIVA bagged the award for Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects Gaming & Comic).
The 70th National Film Awards recognises films certified by the censor board between January 1 and December 31, 2022.
The winners will be felicitated by President Droupadi Murmu in a ceremony in October 2024.
