Assam Rifles continues its commitment to provide essential healthcare services in remote and challenging areas of Manipur.
On 25 August 2024, Assam Rifles organized a comprehensive health check-up camp in Thangbung Minou village, Chandel. The camp offered general health check-ups, basic medical treatments, and distributed essential medications to over 125 villagers, with the oldest being 99 years old. The medical team, led by Senior Medical Officer and Regiment Medical Officer of Assam Rifles, also educated the community on preventive healthcare measures, further highlighting the force’s dedication to the welfare of the local population.
In another instance, on 26 August 2024, Assam Rifles provided emergency medical aid to a four-year-old girl from Thingkeu village, Churachandpur District. The child, suffering from multiple cut injuries on her left foot, was brought to the Assam Rifles camp at around 1120 hours. The medical team promptly attended to her injuries, performing wound cleaning, dressing, and administering antibiotics and other necessary medications for her speedy recovery.
