Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) organised a Medical Camp in the remote village of Wahong, Ukhrul district on 10 September 2024.
Wahong village in Ukhrul district is remotely located and is deprived of any organised medical facilities. The Medical Camp in the villages has enabled locals the access to basic medical facilities and also facilitated the ailing patients with expert examined by the doctors.
A total of over 150 villagers from Wahong village and nearby areas were examined and provided with basic medication. The initiative by Assam Rifles has solved the long pending need of Medical assistance for the villagers.
Village authorities wholeheartedly appreciated the efforts of the Assam Rifles for such thoughtful gesture which will work to improve the mutual trust and maintenance of peace & harmony in the region.
