Assam Rifles organised a Friendly football Match with Waikhong Youth Club and distributed sports items at Waikhong, Kakching district.
This program is part of the Fit India campaign and aims to encourage the youth to actively involve in sports. This initiative plans to instill confidence among the students and motivate them to pursue professional sports. A total of 35 young and energetic villagers benefited from the project. The youth and village authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles and acknowledged the efforts of Security Forces.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZED A DAY WITH COMPANY COMMANDER IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles organized “A Day with Company commander” at New Samtal & Yangnomphai village. The event featured a variety of activities aimed at promoting health, education and sportsmanship among the local population.
As part of the event, Assam Rifles conducted football tournament participated by eight teams from nearby villages at New Samtal, mobile library for children at New Samtal & Yangnomphal villages and lecture on hygiene & sanitation at Yagnomphai Primary School. The villagers whole heartedly participated in all the events with great enthusiasm and vigour. The event was highly appreciated by the villagers and they assured their support for such events in the future thereby cementing the bond between the local populace and the Assam RIFLES.
