ASSAM RIFLES PROVIDES WATER TANKS AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS AT CHARLONG VILLAGE, CHANDEL, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles, under the aegis of IGAR(S), provisioned water tanks and essential items at Charlong village, Chandel District, Manipur on 25 September 2024.
As part of ongoing efforts to provide basic amenities to locals and support socio-economic development in remote villages, water storage tanks were provided at Charlong village. These tanks will enable households to store a greater quantity of water, addressing the clean water scarcity problem faced by the villagers, especially during the monsoon season.
The locals expressed heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for their thoughtful gesture. This welfare initiative will bolster the confidence of the villagers in the security forces and further strengthen mutual trust and cooperation.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS FOGGING OPERATIONS TO COMBAT MOSQUITO-BORNE DISEASES IN IMPHAL EAST AND IMPHAL WEST DISTRICT, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles, under the aegis of IGAR (South), conducted extensive fogging operations to combat mosquito-borne diseases in several areas of Imphal East and Imphal West Districts on 23 and 24 September 2024. The operations were carried out in Brahmapur Bomon Leikai, Brahmapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai (Imphal East), and Keishomthong Laisom Leirak (Imphal West). These areas have been severely affected by outbreaks of dengue and malaria in recent days.
In a concerted effort to protect the health and well-being of local communities, Assam Rifles undertook comprehensive fogging and spraying measures. The operations also covered adjoining areas to ensure a wider impact in curbing the spread of diseases such as malaria and dengue, which pose a significant threat, especially during the monsoon season.
The proactive measures were greatly appreciated by the local leaders, village heads, Meira Paibis, and residents of the affected areas, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for their timely intervention and continuous support in ensuring public health and safety.
