A strength of over 120 volunteers cleared a stretch of over 5200 sqm area on the banks of Dudhiya River in North Bengal, a popular tourist spot. Large amount of garbage was collected and disposed of, making the area visibly clean and restoring the pristine beauty of the place. This effort part of MES Day was also a collaborative effort between the Trishakti Corps, MES volunteers and locals.
On 26th September 2024, the Military Engineer Services commemorated its 102nd Raising Day. On this significant day in 1923, MES was established under the unified command of the Engineer-in-Chief by the then Honorable Secretary of State for India, bringing together the Royal Corps of Engineers and civilian staff.
