On the occasion of World Heart Day, the jawans of Krishna Nagar Sector Headquarters of Border Security Force (BSF) presented an excellent example of their service and responsibility towards the society by donating blood at Purnima Milan Sanstha, Shantipur. In this program organized on 29 September 2024, the BSF jawans not only donated blood but also gave a strong message to make the society aware of the importance of blood donation.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) BSF, Sector Headquarters Krishna Nagar was present as the chief guest in this program. He was accompanied by the BAWA President of Sector Headquarters Krishna Nagar and a total of 100 officers and jawans of BSF.
BSF jawans and NCC cadets took out a rally on the main roads of Shantipur by marching past, in which they propagated the importance of blood donation and healthy lifestyle. During the rally, garlands and floral tributes were also paid to the statue of freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
A total of 45 persons including 35 BSF jawans voluntarily donated blood at the blood donation camp. Jawans from 107, 68, 08, 32, and 161 Battalions under the Sector Headquarters participated in this important social service.

The blood donation done by our jawans will not only help in saving human lives but will also spread awareness and motivation among people towards blood donation. Blood donation is a great donation and we feel proud of this contribution of our jawans.”
Through this event, BSF jawans not only displayed their spirit of service but also demonstrated their deep commitment towards health and humanity in the society. Such events play a vital role in strengthening the unbreakable bond of BSF with the society and inspire all sections of the society to participate in the noble cause like blood donation.
