Based on specific intelligence regarding movement of insurgents along Indo Myanmar Border (IMB), an operation was launched in general area BP 86 in Tengnoupal district on 26 September 2024.
Assam Rifles spotted the movement of some individuals and the ambush party swiftly closed in and cut off the escape routes. This led to the capture of two KYKL cadres and one UNLF (K) cadres. The apprehended cadres have been handed over to Manipur Police.
