The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) plays a crucial role in Arunachal Pradesh by developing and maintaining road infrastructure, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the frontier state.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday dedicated 75 major infrastructure projects built by the Border Roads Organisation to the nation. Out of all these projects, a total of Seven projects are from Arunachal Pradesh which have been built by 14, 42 and 763 Task Forces of Project Vartak headquartered at Tezpur.
The seven projects inaugurated in Arunachal Pradesh include four bridges – Amartala – I bridge, Sho chu bridge, Dahung bridge and Tawang chu – III bridge. Apart from this, three roads T Gompa – Lungrola, Y Junction – Point 4474 and Lungrola – Triple Heights have also been inaugurated.
