ASSAM RIFLES COMMEMORATES THE SACRIFICE OF RIFLEMAN RAMESH CHANDRA PANT

In a solemn ceremony held in Moreh, the Assam Rifles paid tribute to Rifleman (Late) Ramesh Chandra Pant, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Indo-China War at Sela (NEFA), now Arunachal Pradesh, on November 21, 1962.

Rifleman Pant exemplified exceptional courage, unwavering resolve, and selfless loyalty throughout his service, embodying the spirit of comradeship and patriotism that defines our armed forces.

The ceremony commenced with the laying of wreaths in honour of the fallen hero, followed by a motivational address that recounted the heroism displayed by Rifleman Pant during the operation.

A total of 200 personnel from the Assam Rifles participated in the event, paying their respects and rendering a Guard of Honour to acknowledge the valour of Rifleman Pant.

The Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its commitment to commemorating the valor of its soldiers and ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
