The Border Security Force (BSF) demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the welfare of society by organising a Blood Donation Camp at the Composite Hospital BSF Malda. This noble initiative was undertaken as part of the 60th Raising Day celebrations of the BSF on 1st December.
The event was inaugurated by the DIG of Sector Headquarters BSF Malda, who led by example by being the first to donate blood. In attendance were the Commandant of 12 Battalion, officers, and medical staff from BSF and Malda Medical College and Hospital. A total of 38 BSF personnel, from the Sector Headquarters and under-command Battalions, voluntarily stepped forward to donate blood.
The collected blood will be transferred to the Blood Bank of Malda Medical College and Hospital, offering a lifeline to patients in need.
Speaking on the occasion, the Public Relations Officer of BSF South Bengal Frontier said, “Blood donation is a noble act of saving lives. Today, we reaffirm our commitment not just to the security of our borders but also to the health and well-being of our fellow citizens.”
