Assam Rifles recently organized an inspiring event titled “A Day with Company Commander” for students from local schools in Wanglee village. The initiative aimed to motivate young minds and foster a sense of nationalism and camaraderie among the participants.
The event attracted 58 participants, including 42 students and 8 teachers from nearby Namlee village. Throughout the day, attendees engaged in a variety of sports activities such as sack races, tug of war, “breaking the ice,” and musical chairs, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all involved. Additionally, participants were given a guided tour of the Company Operating Base, offering them a unique insight into the daily routines and responsibilities of soldiers.
The event concluded on a high note with the distribution of prizes to all winners and participants, uplifting their spirits and instilling a sense of accomplishment. Snacks and refreshments were also provided, which were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
Students, teachers, and parents expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Assam Rifles’ efforts in organizing such a meaningful and informative recreational activity. They pledged their wholehearted support to the Security Forces in future initiatives.

ASSAM RIFLES COMMEMORATES HUMAN RIGHTS DAY IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles celebrated Human Rights Day with a series of events across Bishnupur, Chandel, and Imphal West districts. The observance took place at Nambol and Komlakhong, where lectures were organized for troops, villagers, and local communities to emphasize the significance of human rights, peace, and harmony amidst the ongoing ethnic clashes in the region.
The lectures highlighted the importance of dialogue, mutual respect, and understanding as essential components for restoring peace and stability in Manipur. Officers from Assam Rifles reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace while upholding human rights during these challenging times. The sessions underscored the role of human rights as a cornerstone for rebuilding trust and fostering a secure and peaceful future for all communities.
In New Samtal, Chandel District, an event focused on educating the local population about their rights and responsibilities as citizens was also held. This initiative aimed to promote a culture of respect and dignity within the community.
The awareness lecture featured discussions on the importance of human rights and the role of citizens in upholding these principles. Assam Rifles personnel highlighted various initiatives undertaken to protect and promote human rights in conflict-prone areas. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 67 locals, including men, women, and youth from the region.
As the “Sentinels of the Northeast,” Assam Rifles continues to work tirelessly to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all citizens. The lecture concluded with a call for collective efforts towards resolving differences through compassion, inclusivity, and dialogue to promote lasting peace in Manipur.
ASSAM RIFLES PROMOTES HEALTH AND HYGIENE THROUGH ENGAGING EVENTS
Assam Rifles conducted a series of engaging events under the Central Government’s “Swachhata Pakhwadaa” initiative on December 10, 2024, aimed at promoting health and hygiene among citizens. The activities took place at St. Peter’s School and Kwatha in Tengnoupal District, attracting enthusiastic participation from 48 students.
The event focused on raising awareness about the importance of cleanliness and maintaining tidy surroundings. Activities included painting competitions, debates, and essay writing, fostering creativity and critical thinking on the theme of hygiene. Assam Rifles personnel distributed prizes to the winners of each competition, celebrating their achievements.
In addition to the hygiene initiative, Assam Rifles organized a friendly volleyball match in Chandel District between Assam Rifles personnel and the youth of Kovang village. This event aimed to strengthen the bond between Assam Rifles and the local community, witnessing enthusiastic participation from villagers. The closely contested match culminated with Kovang village emerging as the winner, showcasing excellent sportsmanship and skill on the volleyball court.
Approximately 70 villagers gathered to witness the intense match, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere. The event served as a platform for fostering camaraderie among villagers while promoting a sense of unity and healthy competition. Refreshments were organized for all attendees, further enhancing the sense of hospitality and celebration.
