Assam Rifles in an effort to empower local youths and provide them with opportunities to serve the nation, conducted a motivational lecture at Aibol Joupi village in Chandel District. The event aimed to educate and inspire the local youth about the career opportunities available in Assam Rifles.
During the session, comprehensive information was shared regarding the recruitment process, including eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, physical fitness requirements and the various stages of selection. 48 youths attended the lecture demonstrating their enthusiasm and interest in exploring a career with Assam Rifles. The interactive session provided an open platform for participants to ask questions, clear their doubts and have a better understanding of the selection process and information regarding pre recruitment training provided by Assam Rifles. The youths were encouraged to prepare diligently and take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to national security and development.
The local community appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles, acknowledging the event as a meaningful initiative to foster goodwill and unity. The initiative was part of the Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to engage with the local communities and support the aspirations of the youth in the region.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED A MEDICAL CAMP IN OLD SAMTAL
Additionally, Assam Rifles organised a Medical Camp at Old Samtal village, Chandel district. The medical camp aimed to provide basic essential healthcare facilities and address the medical needs of the people in the region which lacks basic medical infrastructure and services.
An Assam Rifles medical officer along with medical staff examined senior citizens, women and children with special attention given to preventive healthcare with counseling session on hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention. 49 locals of Old Samtal village of Chandel district were provided basic diagnostics, consultation and medicines. The locals expressed gratitude for the much needed assistance and praised Assam Rifles for their continuous efforts in improving the quality of life in the region.
Assam Rifles has been regularly organising such medical camps in the remote areas which highlights the commitment to development and welfare of the people in remote areas. The medical camp addressed the immediate healthcare needs of the people and served as a platform to bridge the gap in medical access to the locals.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED SECURITY MEETING AT SHAKPAO VILLAGE IN UKHRUL DISTRICT OF MANIPUR
Assam Rifles organised Security Meeting at Shakpao Company Operating Base in Ukhrul district of Manipur on 23 December 2024.
The Security Meeting is being conducted to gauge local perceptions of the prevailing security situation and address the concerns of residents regarding the safety of their villages.
The event started with a welcome note by the Company Commander where he appraised the village authorities regarding the prevailing security situation in the region. This was followed by an interactive session with the village heads. During the meeting, the villagers’ concerns were actively addressed, and they were reassured that their security is safeguarded by the vigilant presence of security forces in the region.
The Security Meeting culminated with refreshments being served to all the attendees. 16 representatives from the 10 village councils under the Area of Responsibility of Shakpao Company Operating Base had attended the Security Meeting.
The village authorities expressed their wholehearted support and appreciation towards Assam Rifles for orgainsing such a meaningful and relevant activity for them.
