ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS MEGA MEDICAL CAMP AT SINGHAT VILLAGE, CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT UNDER OP SADBHAVANA

On 11 January 2025, Assam Rifles conducted a successful medical camp at Singhat village in Churachandpur district, as part of Operation Sadbhavana. The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the villagers, particularly those residing in remote border areas with limited access to medical facilities due to ongoing ethnic tensions in Manipur.

The camp was organized in collaboration with the unit hospital of Assam Rifles and medical staff from the Sub-District Hospital, Singhat. A total of 345 villagers benefitted from the medical camp, receiving consultations, treatments, and health check-ups. Dr. Steve Tuninung, MO I/C of Sub-District Hospital, Singhat, also delivered an awareness talk on various prevalent health issues, further educating the villagers on preventive measures.

The village authorities expressed their deep appreciation for this thoughtful initiative by Assam Rifles, highlighting the importance of such efforts in ensuring the well-being of the community in these challenging times.

ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZES CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT KOMLAKHONG VILLAGE IN IMPHAL WEST DISTRICT OF MANIPUR

On 12 January 2025, Assam Rifles organized a cleanliness drive at Komlakhong Village, located along the banks of the Imphal River and Loktak Lake in Imphal West district of Manipur. The initiative, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and community engagement, aligns with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, encouraging the preservation of natural resources for future generations.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 110 individuals, including local residents, Meira Paibis, and Assam Rifles personnel. Together, they cleared garbage, collected plastic waste, and raised awareness about hygiene and the protection of water bodies.

Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in northeastern India, and the adjacent Imphal River are vital ecological and cultural resources. This cleanliness drive highlighted the collective responsibility of the community to protect these important natural assets.

ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZES INTER-VILLAGE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AT TENGOUPAL DISTRICT

On 12 January 2025, Assam Rifles organized an exciting Inter-Village Football Tournament at Chongjang village in Tengoupal District. The event saw enthusiastic participation from nine teams: CH Tengoupal, Yangabung, Laijang, Garden A Team, Moreh Ngaichullou FC, Moreh-Tehehapa FC, Moreh-Garjan FC, and Chavangphai FC.

The tournament was a vibrant display of skill, competitive spirit, and exceptional morale. The event drew approximately 140-150 local visitors, including sports enthusiasts and families, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

The final match saw CH Tengoupal face off against Moreh-Tehehapa FC, with Moreh-Tehehapa FC emerging victorious with a 3-1 win. The prize distribution ceremony highlighted the dedication and hard work of the players.

This event reinforced the local community’s strong support for sports and unity, showcasing the power of sportsmanship in bringing people together.

ASSAM RIFLES DONATES BLOOD TO SAVE LIFE OF SEVERE ANEMIA PATIENT IN CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Assam Rifles provided emergency medical assistance on 10 January 2025 by donating five units of blood to a severe anemia patient admitted to the District Hospital, Churachandpur, Manipur.

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, Assam Rifles organized a voluntary blood donation drive at the Churachandpur District Hospital. The initiative aimed to support patients in critical need of blood transfusions. Five serving jawans from Assam Rifles, stationed at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur, came forward to donate blood to a patient diagnosed with severe anemia who urgently required dialysis and life-saving treatment.

This blood donation drive is a testament to Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to serving the community and providing vital support to those in need.

ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS PRE-RECRUITMENT COACHING CLASSES IN CHURACHANDPUR FOR TERRITORIAL ARMY EXAM CANDIDATES

Assam Rifles at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur District, conducted pre-recruitment coaching classes from 12 November 2024 to 11 January 2025 for candidates appearing in the upcoming Territorial Army (TA) Recruitment written examination scheduled for 12 January 2025 at Churachandpur College.

This initiative, part of Assam Rifles’ commitment to fostering opportunity, resilience, and hope among the younger generation, benefitted 73 students from Churachandpur District. During the coaching sessions, aspirants were familiarized with the exam pattern, and regular mock tests were conducted to boost their confidence and improve their preparation.

Through this focused support, Assam Rifles aims to equip the youth with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in competitive exams, empowering them to pursue rewarding careers in the defense sector. Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its mission to inspire hope and build a brighter future for the region’s youth amidst ongoing challenges.
