Mohun Bagan Athletic Club proudly hosted a felicitation ceremony to celebrate the team’s historic 33rd Santosh Trophy title, achieved through remarkable determination and teamwork.
The event, held at the club premises, was graced by Aroop Biswas, Minister in Charge, Power, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, as the Chief Guest.
The dignitaries in attendance included Debashis Dutta (General Secretary), Satyajit Chatterjee (Assistant General Secretary), Swapan Banerjee (Football Secretary) and Manash Kr. Bhattacharya (Youth Football Secretary).
The event also saw the presence of Mohun Bagan Ratna awardees, Syed Naeemuddin, Pradip Choudhury,and Prasun Banerjee, who were honored guests for the occasion. Additionally, the club felicitated notable Santosh Trophy stalwarts, including Shabbir Ali (Bengal Coach, 2009-11), Mridul Banerjee (Bengal Coach, 2016-17), Snehasish Chakraborty (Bengal Captain, 2009-10), Anupam Sarkar (Bengal Captain, 2010-11), and Rana Gharami (Bengal Captain, 2016-17).
A total of ₹5.5 lakh in prize money was distributed among the players, coaches,
and support staff in recognition of their exceptional achievement. The club also extended a warm welcome to members of the Indian Football Association (IFA), reinforcing its commitment to fostering football excellence.
This event was a moment of pride for Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, celebrating
its rich legacy and continued contributions to Indian football.
