Successful Conduct of Exercise AAPDA RAKSHAK by Gajraj Corps

 

 

 

The Gajraj Corps, in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kamrup, successfully conducted Exercise AAPDA RAKSHAK, a joint flood relief exercise, from 20 to 22 January 2025.

 

The exercise aimed to enhance flood relief preparedness and strengthen coordination among participating agencies. It included interactive discussions and ground-based mock drills designed to refine strategies and test effective flood response measures. Key activities focused on rescue operations, relief distribution, medical aid, and innovative techniques for flood management.

 

By simulating real-life scenarios, the exercise demonstrated the collective dedication and operational capabilities of the Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, and DDMA Kamrup in executing seamless flood relief operations.

 

Exercise AAPDA RAKSHAK highlighted the importance of a synergised approach to disaster management, reinforcing the need for well-coordinated response mechanisms. It also instilled confidence among the local population, assuring them of the readiness and effectiveness of relief efforts during natural disasters.

 

The successful completion of this exercise underscores the Indian Army’s pivotal role in supporting civil authorities during crises and reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
