ASSAM RIFLES INAUGURATES MULTIPURPOSE HALL CUM LEARNING CENTRE

Assam Rifles inaugurated a state-of-the-art Multipurpose Hall cum Learning Centre in Wayang village, Chandel District, under Operation Sadbhavna, marking a significant step toward holistic development in the region. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the villagers, local leaders village chiefs of neighbouring villages.

Recognising the challenges faced by the locals for a long time due to the lack of a dedicated community space, Assam Rifles took the initiative to construct the multipurpose hall under Operation Sadbhavana. This hall is designed to cater for multiple needs, providing a venue for village congregations during festivals, social occasions, and community discussions. The multipurpose hall also houses a well-equipped learning centre aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for the children of Wayang village. The hall will be a centre for creating a conducive environment for learning and academic growth. This initiative reflects Assam Rifles unwavering commitment to fostering education and improving the quality of life in remote areas. The infrastructure will also help Assam Rifles during their various operational and administrative activities.

The event commenced with inauguration of the Multipurpose Hall followed by a captivating cultural program. During the ceremony, village representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their yeoman service, steadfast support and dedication. They lauded the Assam Rifles efforts in addressing the developmental needs of the region and promoting unity through such impactful projects.

On Republic Day, Assam Rifles organised a Blanket Distribution Drive in Moltuk village, Chandel District, to support residents facing harsh winter conditions.

The initiative aimed to bring comfort and warmth, demonstrating the force’s commitment to serving and caring for underprivileged communities.

The celebration began with the unfurling of the national flag, followed by the national anthem, evoking a sense of patriotism among villagers and Assam Rifles personnel. Cultural performances by local artists and schoolchildren highlighted the region’s rich traditions.
