On 3rd February 2025, Assam Rifles inaugurated a newly constructed waiting shed at Komlakhong in Imphal West district of Manipur under its flagship Operation Sadbhavana projects.
The waiting shed, constructed in response to local community needs, provides a vital public utility for travelers and residents, enhancing convenience and safety. This initiative underscores the Assam Rifles’ dedication to infrastructure development aimed at improving the daily lives of the people of Manipur.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of approximately 120 locals, including prominent community leaders. Notable attendees included Mr. Kanta (Ward No. 1 Head), Mr. Tomba (Ward No. 2 Head), Mr. Samu, President, Komlakhong Youth Development Association, along with Secretary Mr. Ibohal, Mrs. Sushila Devi, President, Meira Paibi Komlakhong, along with Secretary Mrs. Achoubi. The community members expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for its continued efforts in fostering sustainable development.

The newly constructed waiting shed at Komlakhong stands as a testament to the force’s unwavering resolve to support local infrastructure and strengthen bonds with the people of Manipur.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISE MEDICAL CAMP IN CHANDEL DISTRICT
With the aim of delivering crucial healthcare and attending to the medical requirements of the local population of Chandel district, Manipur, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp in New Samtal village on 6th February 2025.
As part of their ongoing community outreach programme, the Assam Rifles Medical Officer and medical staff carried out examinations for senior citizens, women, and children from New Samtal and Aivomjang. A key focus was placed on preventive healthcare, with counselling sessions covering hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
During the camp, 76 local residents received basic diagnostic services, consultations, and medications. Village elders and other locals expressed their gratitude and requested more of these camps, commending the Assam Rifles for their continued dedication to enhancing the quality of life in the region.
The Assam Rifles have consistently organised medical camps in remote areas, underscoring their commitment to the development and well-being of people in these areas. This recent medical camp not only addressed the immediate healthcare needs of the community but also helped to bridge the gap in medical access for local residents.
