The Purvodaya Literary Festival 2025 has begun under the patronage of CV Ananda Bose, Governor of West Bengal. Organized by the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) in collaboration with several prestigious institutions, the festival will run until early March, celebrating the literary and cultural heritage of Eastern India.
A major highlight of the festival is the Purvodaya Literary Excellence Award 2025, which will be presented to renowned writer Amit Chaudhuri for his outstanding contributions to literature.

According to Arindam Mukherjee, Director, ISCS, the festival aims to inspire creativity, foster dialogue, and celebrate the literary legacy of Eastern India.
