Indian Army Extends Support to School in Leikoiching, Imphal East

In a heartwarming gesture aimed at supporting underprivileged children, the Indian Army distributed essential stationery items to the students of Paramount Standard English School, Leikoiching, Imphal East.

The school, established in 1985 by Capt (Retd) Michael Athing Konghay and family, has been serving the local community for four decades.

Spear Corps of Indian Army distributed 100 kits which included school bags, notebooks, tiffin boxes, and pencils to the primary class students, providing much-needed assistance to children from financially weaker sections of society.

Over 200 students, teachers and locals attended the program which included a vibrant cultural performance by the students, followed by the distribution of stationery items.

The school authorities and local community leaders expressed their sincere gratitude to the Indian Army for their thoughtful initiative. The event underscored the Army’s commitment to community welfare and its continuous efforts to support and uplift marginalized sections of society.

This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s dedication to fostering positive civil-military relations and promoting education as a means of empowerment.
